POSITION: School Mental Health Provider
REPORTS TO: Director of Student Services
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Health Field- LPC or LCSW
JOB GOAL: To provide consistent mental health support for IMPRESS students and additional students in need
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work in a school team environment which includes collaboration with IMPRESS (behavioral) classroom teachers, behavior support services team members, and various other stakeholders.
- To support students with individual, group, and family therapy in developing and transferring core Social Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies (self management, self awareness, social awareness, responsible decision making, and relationship skills)
- Assist studentsProvide crisis intervention (assist with conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques)
- Apply Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports to utilize evidence-based prevention and intervention practices along a multi-tiered continuum to support the whole child (safe, supported, challenged, engaged, and healthy)

- Additional Responsibilities
- Plan and evaluate strategies for improving behavior
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve district and building goals
- Participate in building level team meetings as appropriate (RTIB, IEP, 504, etc.)
- Provide leadership to others through examples and sharing of knowledge/ skill
- Organize and schedule time commitment to meet demands of the job
