Paraprofessional - Campus Support (classified)
The Campus Support Paraprofessional will support the building administration as needed in carrying out various building management functions throughout the day. A large portion of the duties will be to assist leadership with student behavior intervention.
- Prevent crises: Help prevent and respond to student crises and maintain classroom safety.
- Communicate with others: Consult with Administrators, teachers, parents, and other school personnel to build a support system for students.
- Support the development of behavior plans: Collaborate with teachers, staff, and others to help develop and implement behavior support plans for students.
- Monitor student behavior: Observe student behavior in the classroom and provide intervention activities as needed or indicated in their plan.
- Provide guidance: Assist students with homework, projects, and classroom assignments, and create positive relationships.
- Document and analyze data: Help maintain documents and meet to discuss data to determine the impact of interventions.
- Maintain confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and comply with all relevant laws and regulations with FERPA
- Reports directly to the Principal and Assistant principal. Support may be provided by the Director of Behavior Services.
Pay Details:
- Pay Range: 26 or 27 (depending on education level)
- 7.5 hours per day
- 180 contract days per year
